I decided to sell some of my stuff in an effort to make a few bucks. I sold all my extra stuff on eBay and other online sites for WAY more money than I expected. So I started looking for sources for stuff to sell. I asked friends if I could sell their extra stuff for a "commission" and did sell some stuff, although people thought that I should give them all of the money that it sold for(it was their item after all, right?)
I looked at yard sales or thrift stores and sometimes found an item or two. Then I stumbled upon storage lien auctions. This is where someone fails to pay for the rent on a mini storage locker for a period of time and the storage facility is obligated to get the items out of the locker so that they can rent it to someone else. They generally auction the entire contents off to the highest bidder. And the bids rarely ever go very high. There are SO many of these "abandoned" storage rooms that you could find auctions every single day of the week. It is EASY to make a SIX FIGURE income selling items on eBay and Craigslist as well as the other online selling sources.
I knew that if this worked for me, it could work for anyone else.
I remember working unbelievable hours and checking my bank account to see if I had enough money to write a check....
But it's not like that for me anymore. Now I enjoy my time, love my job and have more "free" time to do the things that I want.
